We are looking for an intern for the 2017 Harvest. This will be full time from as close to September 1st as possible to November 1st - it may be longer depending on how the season goes. We make our wines at the Sans Liege facility in the lovely Tin City community of wineries in Paso Robles, which means you will have a pretty unique opportunity to meet and learn from a diverse group of talented winemakers. We are tiny, making fewer than 2000 cases a year, so this is not one of those internships where you just do pump-overs or operate a press 12 hours a day.
As our first intern you will spend your time working in the cellar alongside Xavier, doing everything around the winery including:
- cleaning and equipment sanitation
- fermentation management
- preparing and filling barrels
- operating the wine press
- punch-downs/pump-overs

In exchange for your labor we will shower you with:
- money
- lunches/refreshments
- a minimum of 2 months of non-stop action
- a ground floor vinous education
- wine, obviously.

and these are the things we really cannot afford to shower you with:
- a car
- housing
- healthcare
- several days off in a row
- massages

Ideally you have worked a harvest before, but if you haven't that's far from a deal breaker. It's more important that you are: reliable, confident, precise and able to lift 50 pounds over and over. Bonus points for:
- forklift skills
- French/Spanish fluency
- A good collection of fresh jokes
